Description:The 2008 Albariño offers up classic aromas of citrus and lemon/lime. This Black Ankle Vineyards version of the classic white from Galicia, Spain shows considerably more richness and depth than most Spanish Albariños, with a creamy texture and a lengthy finish, while still remaining a true Albariño to its core.

Vineyard: Northeast facing at 630 ft above sea level, planted at 1895 vines per acre with budwood from the Fore Vineyard in Napa Valley. We allowed as many as 20 clusters per vine, but since Albariño clusters and grapes are very small the vineyard yielded only 2.6 tons per acre, giving us approximately one bottle of wine per vine.
